DeepWiki Downloader

Node script that downloads DeepWiki documentation for any public GitHub repository as local Markdown, keeping Mermaid diagrams and internal links.

Client: IVG Design

DeepWiki Downloader

What it is

A small Node utility that saves a repository's DeepWiki documentation as a local Markdown folder.

What it does

Given `owner/repo`, it renders each DeepWiki page with Puppeteer (the site is React Server Components), waits for Mermaid diagrams to render, and writes Markdown with the diagrams as fenced code blocks and internal links intact. I used it to keep the Rive runtime docs available offline for my own tooling.

Features

  • Mermaid diagrams preserved as fenced blocks; a validator checks them
  • Internal links preserved; output folder of your choice
  • Works for any public GitHub repository DeepWiki has indexed

Capabilities

Offline copies for reading, grep, and feeding docs to AI agents.

Compatibility

  • Node.js with Puppeteer (installs a Chromium)

Availability

Free, public repository; no packaged release.

Under the hood

Node.js and Puppeteer, with a Python converter and a Mermaid validation script.
