Rive Luau for VS Code

What it is

A VS Code extension (published as IVGDesign.rive-luau) and language server for the Luau scripts that run inside Rive. Writing longer scripts is easier in a real code editor; this puts the Rive API into VS Code.

What it does

It understands Rive's scripting API and standard Luau, so the editor completes names, explains what a type or method does in plain language, and flags type errors, missing properties and undefined variables as you type.

Under the hood

A C++ language server built on JohnnyMorganz's open-source luau-lsp (which uses Roblox's Luau), with Rive scripting API definitions and hover documentation based on Rive's official scripting API and the LERP documentation; the extension is a JavaScript client that bundles a native binary per platform (see ATTRIBUTION.md).
