Beam Dashboard Animation

Lottie animation of Beam's task dashboard: a task table filling with statuses and durations, a Queued/Running/Completed status button and a loading loop.

Client: Beam

Beam / Product dashboard / 2024

A dashboard that fills itself in.

My role: UI motion design and Lottie animation

Delivered: A 20-second dashboard animation in four versions, a task-status button and a loading loop, as Lottie JSON with HTML previews

Tools: After Effects, Lottie

The brief

Eli Mernit at Beam, a developer cloud platform, needed the Beam dashboard animated (project folder dated 3 October 2024).

The build

The main piece, anim_1, is a task table at 676 by 305 pixels, 20 seconds at 60 fps. Rows for tasks such as transcription, diarization and pre-processing move through Queued, Running and Completed, with durations and boot times appearing as they finish. I iterated it through four versions. Two smaller pieces sit beside it: a status button that cycles through Queued, Running and Completed, and a loading loop in two versions. Each Lottie has an HTML preview page.

The delivered experience

The Lottie files and previews are in the project folder; there is no recorded product use or client feedback.
