BigDoor / YouTube Playables / 2024
My role: Animation and Lottie export
Delivered: Tower-game play animation as Lottie JSON (784×1148, 60 fps, 32 s), two test scenes with HTML previews, and a 20-second MP4 render
Tools: After Effects, Bodymovin/Lottie, Illustrator
BigDoor was producing early-access creative for YouTube Playables, the games that run inside YouTube, and shared its existing After Effects project and layouts with me. My part was the game itself: a tower-stacking game shown in play.
I rebuilt the game as vector layers: the tower and its block rows, the ball bouncing down through them, a line that bursts as each row breaks, a winner cup with confetti at the end, and the exit button and pop-up. Everything lives in one composition so it exports as a single Lottie file. Two test scenes at 450×253 place the animation inside a scrolling YouTube Playables page.
I delivered the game animation and the two test scenes as Lottie JSON with HTML previews, and a 20-second MP4 render of the scene. They are shown below.
