Occam / 2023
My role: Lottie animation for a website update, including a parallax photograph and logo animation.
Delivered: Lottie JSON animations for the Occam website, including an Occam's Razor graphic, an animated logo cube, and an animated photograph.
Tools: After Effects, Lottie.
Occam needed an animation for their website to go with an explanation of Occam's Razor. The client suggested a razor line moving or cutting horizontally, or anything that demonstrates simplicity, and wanted it within a week while their web team updated the site. They offered draft mock-ups to define the placement.
I built the razor animation as a Lottie file and iterated it through five versions. The same folder holds the logo cube, orbit, circles, graph, biotech and photo animations, each as Lottie JSON with an HTML preview. The contract also covered development time for an animated photograph and an estimate for a second phase of animation.
The finished Lottie files were handed to the client's web team for the site. The client rated the work 5.0 out of 5 on Upwork.
