A Lottie logo animation for a law firm's new homepage, produced through Grater Digital: a sequence of circles resolves into the SSL mark, 'Attorneys at Law' builds letter by letter, and 'Nobody Does It Better' writes on in script, a quiet nod to the 007 theme the brief asked for.

The brief
Grater Digital was building a new website for a law firm and needed an animated SVG logo for the home page. The motion was to carry a subtle James Bond / 007 theme.
The build
The animation opens with a sequence of circles that resolves into the SSL mark. "Attorneys at Law" then builds in letter by letter, and the line "Nobody Does It Better" writes on in script behind a pen nib, finished with an underline. I drew the write-on paths in Illustrator and animated everything in After Effects. Early tests in late September tried out the logo intro, a gradient and the L on its own; versions 2 and 3 followed on October 13.
