The brief
TechSmith hired me for "Emphasis Effects for Techsmith Camtasia" on 4 May 2023 (contact Justin Proctor). The contract ran until 3 September 2025 and is the sixth of six TechSmith contracts I worked since December 2021. Its later icon-set deliveries are on their own entry, TechSmith Animated Icon Sets.
The build
The first phase, folder dated 11 May 2023, is a set of fire and explosion effects: numbered fire bursts in one or two variants each, four generic bursts, an explosion and several fire loops. Most run 1 to 2 seconds at 60 fps on a 1920 by 1080 canvas, with some in other proportions (tall and wide variants). I built them in After Effects and exported them to Lottie JSON, each with an HTML preview page.
The delivered experience
The Lottie files, previews and GIF stills are in the project folder. TechSmith's Upwork review of the contract is 5.0 out of 5 with no text.
