Union — Animated Product Presentation for iPad and iPhone

Union / Product presentation / 2022–2023

One deck, two screens.

My role: UI animation, layout and Lottie export

Delivered: A 17-slide animated presentation as Lottie files for iPad and iPhone, an SMS pop-up animation, and a later four-slide version

Tools: Illustrator, After Effects, Bodymovin (Lottie)

The brief

Union makes leasing software for multifamily property managers. Its founder wanted the product's key features shown in motion, starting with a single SMS pop-up animation in October 2022.

The build

The SMS piece grew into a full presentation: 17 animated slides of Union's interface, each built twice, once for an iPad layout and once for an iPhone layout, several with sub-versions. The slides show product screens such as property selection, chat and messaging, and run from a few seconds to over a minute. Every slide was exported to Lottie with an HTML preview. In spring 2023 Union came back for a second phase, and I rebuilt the story as a focused four-slide version with new layouts.

The constraint

Two devices meant two aspect ratios for every slide (iPad slides at 2266x1488, later 1864x1488; iPhone at 484x834). The interface had to be re-laid out for each format rather than scaled, so each slide exists as a separate iPad and iPhone animation.

The delivered experience

The first presentation set was delivered in October and November 2022, and the final four-slide set in May 2023. The page where Union showed it, gounion.com/ot, no longer exists.
